Meet the Pop Up Polaroid Maker
Another cool new exhibit at this year’s Philadelphia Mini Maker Faire is Kara Kahn’s Pop Up Polaroid booth. Pop Up Polaroid is an analog, open air photo booth and 8×10 portrait studio taking one-of-a-kind photos in Philadelphia and beyond.What do you make?
One-of-a-kind-Polaroid portraits and polaroid based art installations. We also make custom photo booth backdrops and props for our open-air photo booth.
Who do you make it for?
Everybody! We love sharing the magic with first timers, long-time Polaroid lovers, and everyone in between.
Where are you located?
You can find us popping up all over Philadelphia or schedule an 8×10 Polaroid portrait session at our Fishtown studio. You may also see us whipping up custom backdrops and props at NextFab!
What inspires you to make?
After a lifetime as Polaroid enthusiasts, we are still thrilled by the one-of-a-kind experience that only instant film creates. It’s also an incredible feeling to introduce clients and friends to a new process or camera and then work together to make a beautiful portrait.
What is your favorite part about the Faire?
This is our first time at the Philly Maker Faire and we can’t wait to join all of the curious attendees and find out what the talented makers in Philadelphia have been up to!
