What inspired you to make this project?
We made this project because we wanted to make a project to follow up Tobor, the gigantic robotic dinosaur. People always wanted Tobor to launch something and while that would have been a little much for Tobor to handle, the idea of a cannon kept coming up. We decided to launch Goblies because a local woman, Briana Gardell, developed them for her capstone project while in the Technical Entrepreneurship program at Lehigh University. So it's a local collaboration between our Fab Lab and Briana, they're fun to launch and make a mess, they don't cause any pain if (when) they hit someone, we don't have to go chasing after them after launching them, and the Goblies team can help us demo at events like Maker Faire!
