She also achieved first place in the Alliance of Women Entrepreneur's Pitch Competition and second place in Drexel University's Close School of Entrepreneurship startup pitch competition. Rachel was also named one of the nine innovators of the year by Smithsonian Magazine and one of Drexel University’s 40 Under 40 alumni leader's. Her company was named one of the top 10 hottest Philadelphia emerging ventures in 2017 and nominated for the Sustainable Innovation of the Year Award by SustainPHL.

What inspired you to make this project?
My best friend got into a bike crash when we were kids and she became permanently blind in one eye because she was not wearing a helmet. I want to save lives and prevent injuries for thousands across the world with the Kova.
