What inspired you to make this project?
Our projects are inspired by the need for affordable, accessible assistive technologies that improve daily life for individuals with disabilities. Many existing solutions are expensive, standardized, or difficult to obtain, leaving people without the tools they need. At Penn ADAPT, we bring together students from diverse disciplines to create customized, low-cost solutions that empower users, whether through prosthetics, communication devices, or adaptive tools.
