Recycled Tire Door Mats

Sustainability & Nature
Our mats are in shops and door ways, in goose blinds, john boats and in the back of trucks, all along the Mid-Atlantic area. These are the same door mats that was on everyone's grandmothers' door step and we still make them the same way, by hand.

What inspired you to make this project?
In the State of Delaware, there are 750,000 tires sold each year. And everyone needs a door mat to keep the outside...outside.
The door mats sold today, are mostly made overseas from new raw, sources, and only last a few seasons to a year or two. Used tires are an eyesore and health and safety hazard to everyone. Tires are an ideal breading ground for mosquitos and a tire fire pollutes the air while it is burning. By up-cycling a used tire, we are keeping it out of a land fill, ditch or empty lot. And our door mats last for generations, the one our side door steps was made in 1980-ish. I can not remember when it was not there.
