The Dope Teacher: Empowering the Next Generation Known as The Dope Teacher, Evin Jarrett is an innovative educator and trades instructor passionate about changing the narrative for youth in Philadelphia. With over 18 years of experience in construction and remodeling, Evin brings real-world expertise to the classroom, making learning hands-on, engaging, and transformative. As the leader of the Mayfair and Wagner CTE programs, he teaches students plumbing, carpentry, electrical, solar energy, and more, giving them skills that build confidence, improve attendance, and provide pathways to meaningful careers. His classroom, lovingly called Castle Jarrett, is a safe haven where students thrive and gain a sense of accomplishment. Beyond the classroom, Evin runs the Dope Teacher Mobile Shop, a self-funded initiative bringing trades education to schools across the tri-state area. He’s also the host of the Dope Student Podcast, where he connects students and listeners to inspiring guests, career opportunities, and empowering stories. Evin’s mission is clear: to inspire, uplift, and equip the next generation with the tools they need to succeed in life and work.
